I just finished my black necklace. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm still not sure if I'll leave the pentacle or if I'll swap it out for a crystal pendant (and the black crystals swapped to match). But then I'd have to decide on a color..........
Cross stitch, jewelry, chainmaille, and whatever else I can find to waste my time....

New ring style
I learned how to make a new style ring this weekend. I think it turned out super cute!! Made with silver beads and an amethyst Swarovski crystal. =) I really need to get back to Biancabella.... but I just can't seem to stay awake lately. >>yawn<< I think it's nap time....

Dragonscales
While I'm waiting for the fabric to arrive, I have a little bit of time. So I thought I'd teach myself something new. Yesterday I taught myself the "Dragonscale" weave. I'm still not sure if I want to continue the pattern to make a bracelet. It's kind of wide. I usually prefer my bracelets to be less than half the width.

Ophelia's Pearl
I just finished Ophelia's Pearl last night. She's stitched on SMF Watersprite linen. She was a very fun stitch due to all the bright colors. Although halfway through, I realized she would have been AMAZING if I had converted the pinks to purples. oh, well......... maybe some day day I'll feel like doing it again....? I'm still waiting for the fabric to arrive so I can start Biancabella. It should be here in a few days. So I'm not sure what I'll work on until then. I'm sure it will be a WIP though.

Snow....
We got about 4 inches of snow a couple days ago. It's all melted away now. We're supposed to get more on Saturday. So I thought I'd post a pic of the snowflake chainmaille ornaments I made. I've recently just finished the 20th one (although there's only 13 in the picture). =)

Pirate Treasure & new WIP
I just got to the point where I had enough of Pirate Treasure for a while. I found I was not stitching when I could have been because I didn't want to stitch on it. So here's a pic of it just before I put it away...
And then I had to figure out what I was going to stitch on next. I've been commissioned to stitch Biancabella for someone. But the fabric for it isn't here yet. I've been in a funk lately... so I figured I needed a new start (I love those) and I needed something bright and fun. So I picked Ophelia's Pearl on SMF Watersprite linen. I've been stitching on it for a few days, so here's a WIP pic.
I didn't realize from the chart photo exactly how violently orange this mermaid is! =) Anyways, I should get back to stitching.... I don't have much left to finish that tail fin off!

Another ring
I made another ring last night. This one is for my friend Dez. It's hard to get a good photo of these. If I use a flash, then the stone shows up great, but the rest of it kind of disappears. If I don't use a flash, it gets a bit blurry and the stone just looks dark while everything else shows up good. So I'll include a picture of both.
Now I've just gotta get in the mail!

Pull up a seat........
I just finished recovering the third and final dining room chair seat. They're not perfect but they're WAY better than they were before. I'm not sure who's bright idea it was to use a fake suede on a chair seat.... but it was bad. very, very bad.......... Anything that is slightly fuzzy like that will crush if you sit on it at all and leave a permanent butt print on the cushion. And then my sister's cat had a thing for laying on the chairs and then licking the fake suede. That caused it to get water rings. So then it looked like someone peed on them. BAD... VERY BAD... so, now they're a nice light canvas with a pretty print. =)

New Blog!!
Welcome to my new blog.... I have no idea where to start. I feel like I'm writing a book and starting in the middle. I hate introductions, so I'm skipping that. I figure you're here because you already "know" me or you googled for something and ended up here (in which case you're mostly interested in seeing the pictures).
Currently, I'm in a SAL with Sooz. We're stitching Pirate Treasure by Lynne Nicoletti. I've had it as a WIP since 2006...... (EEK!!) and I was inspired to pull it out because of the History Channel show "The Curse of Oak Island". Talking to Sooz one day I discovered that she'd been watching the show too and fell in love with the design. Immediately a SAL began (and I mean immediately!). I wish the show had been on longer..... My mojo is on vacation and I need it to keep me hyped up about my WIP. >>sigh<< Anyways, what you've been waiting for... a WIP pic:
On my plate for later tonight or tomorrow, I've still got 1 dining room chair seat to recover......
