Another ring

I made another ring last night.  This one is for my friend Dez.  It's hard to get a good photo of these.  If I use a flash, then the stone shows up great, but the rest of it kind of disappears.  If I don't use a flash, it gets a bit blurry and the stone just looks dark while everything else shows up good.  So I'll include a picture of both.
Now I've just gotta get in the mail!

Pull up a seat........

I just finished recovering the third and final dining room chair seat.  They're not perfect but they're  WAY better than they were before.  I'm not sure who's bright idea it was to use a fake suede on a chair seat.... but it was bad.  very, very bad..........  Anything that is slightly fuzzy like that will crush if you sit on it at all and leave a permanent butt print on the cushion.  And then my sister's cat had a thing for laying on the chairs and then licking the fake suede.  That caused it to get water rings.  So then it looked like someone peed on them.  BAD... VERY BAD...  so, now they're a nice light canvas with a pretty print.  =)

New Blog!!

Welcome to my new blog.... I have no idea where to start.  I feel like I'm writing a book and starting in the middle.  I hate introductions, so I'm skipping that.  I figure you're here because you already "know" me or you googled for something and ended up here (in which case you're mostly interested in seeing the pictures).

Currently,  I'm in a SAL with Sooz.  We're stitching Pirate Treasure by Lynne Nicoletti.  I've had it as a WIP since 2006......  (EEK!!) and I was inspired to pull it out because of the History Channel show "The Curse of Oak Island".  Talking to Sooz one day I discovered that she'd been watching the show too and fell in love with the design.  Immediately a SAL began (and I mean immediately!).    I wish the show had been on longer.....  My mojo is on vacation and I need it to keep me hyped up about my WIP.  >>sigh<<  Anyways, what you've been waiting for... a WIP pic:

On my plate for later tonight or tomorrow, I've still got 1 dining room chair seat to recover......
